INTRODUCTION

Cultural communication and socialization are interdependent processes that play a fundamental role in shaping individual and collective identities. Cultural communication encompasses the transmission of values, beliefs, and practices through verbal and non-verbal interactions that are rooted in a society’s traditions and norms. Socialization, in turn, refers to the systematic process by which individuals internalize these cultural frameworks, enabling them to participate effectively within their communities. This process begins in primary social groups, such as the family, and extends to secondary agents, including educational institutions, peer networks, and mass media. Together, cultural communication and socialization ensure the continuity of cultural knowledge across generations while also adapting to new social realities. In increasingly multicultural contexts, these processes are essential for fostering intercultural competence, minimizing miscommunication, and promoting social cohesion.
